When I was 14 years old, I decided to start a YouTube channel.  I wanted to create gaming content that could be viewed by anyone.  I wanted a channel where I could enjoy playing games, edit my gameplay and then share my experiences with other people so that they can enjoy them also.  I wanted to do something new though; different from every other YouTubers.  I wanted to have a channel with a theme.  Not a "game theme" where the channel has a main game like Minecraft or Rocket League, but a theme like "outer space", "middle ages", etc.  I decided on a futuristic theme and on May 28, 2015, I created my YouTube channel called NextCenturyGaming, as in gaming in the 2100s.  I started out by making a couple VERY simple Minecraft Pocket Edition videos showcasing Easter eggs within the game.  At the time I had never recorded or edited videos and wasn't honestly sure how to go about starting.  To my shock, the second video I ever created was received very well and began getting hundreds and thousands of views.  I was motivated even though my first videos were of horrible quality.  I knew I had to continue growing the channel, but wasn't sure how.  I decided to release a sequel to my hit video, but unfortunately, my luck had run out. The video only amassed a couple hundred views.  I realized how bad the quality of my videos was, and decided to take almost a full year off of YouTube to decide my next move.  Spring 2016 came and I decided to give YouTube another shot, but with the new name, DestinationGaming, in hopes of revamping the channel.  The new theme was an outer space theme, and I wanted my channel to be like a colony on another planet, small, but growing.  Every subscriber being an "inhabitant" of the planet.  Unfortunately, the quality of my videos was still horrible and I wasn't happy with most of my content.  I made a half a dozen videos, and then stopped YouTube again. Then January 1st 2017, I decided to get better equipment, and really hit YouTube hard.  I kept the new name, DestinationGaming, but got all new colors, new graphics, a new intro and new outro, new channel art, a new profile picture, and new games. Finally everything was exactly how I wanted it.  I was finally DestinationGaming.  This theme has continued on the channel all throughout 2017 into 2018 and I'm still making weekly videos right now. Don't worry, I don't plan on stopping again anytime soon!!
